He *could* only be saying it to get in your pants. As a long term relationship, you need to remember that when you're 30, he'll be 41- no big deal. But when you're 50, he'll be 61... You're 60, he's 71... You'll be young enough to do things and you'll spend all your time taking care of him. You'll be healthy and he might need to be in a nursing home. 11 years is borderline, and you could make i work, but it COULD be too big of a stretch.

Of course he's trying to get in your pants. That's the way the world is made. You're not hoping for a eunuch are you? But the important thing is, regardless of the age difference and his natural urges, can something more than that (much more than that) be made of the attraction? In this case, 11 years age difference is probably too great, and there has to be a lot of mutual understanding and feeling to make up for the difference, but you have to decide. Proceed with caution. It's much easier to opt out at this point than later. Never be afraid to say no if you think there's no more to it than that. If he's unwilling to go at your pace, he's a bad risk.

I would say that it all depends on how old you are. If you are 30 or older than I would say it is okay but if you are less than 30 find a guy closer in age. plus young girls and much older guys usually means he most likely wants to get into your pants and see all that you have to offer. I would say that if you have the slightest doubt that he really loves you than find someone else. But if you like him and feel he is innocent of what you are asking than give it a shot but dont ever let him go anywhere that you aren't comfortable with!

That depends on how old you are. Age differences are more a function of proportion than absolute differences - generally the older you are, the more acceptable the age differences.
So if you are 21-30, then it is OK (even if most may find it a little wierd), if you are 30+, then it becomes more normal, since after 30, most stop maturing anyways. If you are under 18, then he is a criminal.

He could just trying to get in your pants. how old are you and how old is he.
I dated a guy for a couple years that was 11 years older. We were at different stages in our lives. It couldn't work. Just couldn't. he was ready to settle down after a while and I was just getting started.

I wouldnt let him into your pants until you get to know him. I dont believe that 11 years are too many. I think that it is completely up to the two involved and they should not care what every body else thinks

Age is only a number. My Dad is 13 years younger than my mom and they have been happily married for 16 years.

Seems like you are too young for him. Even if you are 16 and he is 27, he could be charged with rape, even if you let him get in your pants. Tell him to look elsewhere, and find someone his own age.
