If everything west of the mississipi belonged to the aztec race then why are its decendents immigrants here?

They are not here because when the Aztecs occupied Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, they were forced out by catastrophic events some huge storm from the pacific, and a great drought forced them to migrate further south, they ended up in the valley of Mexico in 1193 A.D. I wasnt aware that the Aztec where anywhere near that far north! I was under the impression that they land was near Mexico City. Plus my husband is an immigrant here and his family were Tlaxcaltecs, they helped Cortez defeat the Aztecs. They were allowed to maintain their customs and language. There are alot more indigenous groups in Mexico than Aztecs! I think the ones they are refering to are the Apaches...correct me if Im wrong.

There's no way everything west of the mississippi belonged to the aztec.There was a huge variety of tribes that were adapted to the various regions and climates.The aztecs may have had branches further north,but most of that area was unknown to them.

Because words have meanings. In the English language, an immigrant is a person who enters the country from the place that he lived before. History doesn't have anything to do with it. Your great-great-grandfather doesn't have anything to do with it. It's a word. AND a condition of law.

Well you also need to remember there is NO proof that the Aztecs were that far north. And since the illegals want to bring in the argument over who had what originally, they should vacate Mexico (and not to here) because their ancestors stole the land from the natives there.
