Well each person in the group is there for a different reason or at least there are a few people with different reasons for being there. They need what is called self-help, but sometimes you need different perspectives or different things to try to attain the help you need.

Um, not really funny.
There are a lot of people that need to be in self-help groups because they need to know that there are other people that want to help themselves and are going through the same situation as they are. Self-help groups are for everyone, and they aren't something I really think should be made into a joke, for some people being able to go to a self-help group is the thing they look foward most to in life. Its sad, but it is very VERY true.
Obvously, you aren't one of those people.
