At $125 per bottle, Samuel Adams Utopias is the strongest beer I have ever tried. It's alcohol content is 24%. It is classified as a beer because of the way it is brewed and the ingredients used, but it tastes more like you are drinking a fine whiskey or scotch. This is not something you would "chug", but sip warm in a snifter. This is not the same Sam Adams that was talked about above.

Definitely NOT Guiness!! By definition Guiness is a dry stout sytle of ale, and is generally between 6 - 7% alcohol. The strongest beer in the world is EKU 28 "Kulminator", a light blond bock beer (an old traditional German beer) that weighs in at over 13% !! That's some kinda "doppelbock"!

The "strongest" I've ever tried were some ales brewed by the Trappist Monks, particularly the popular favorite... Chimay! It's about 12%... as strong as a lot of wines!

In Britain there's a drink called barley wine which comes in bottles about the size of stubbies. It's a still drink, about 15% alcohol, and it's a strong, still bitter beer with a strong hoppy taste. The next strongest I've ever tasted is Carlsberg Export Lager.

That Sam Adams mentioned above is one of their Triple Bocks or something similar. It's nothing like a regular beer, even though it's made of similar ingredients.

I've had some excellent brews from the Unibroue folks (Montreal), some of which are around 11-12 percent. Rogue makes an Imperial Stout that's in that class, too.

Probably just regular beer. It tastes so bad it wouldn't want to taste anything stronger. When people drink beer they probably don't realize what it makes them smell like (not good).

Elephant beer in Sweden. We drink that a lot overthere. Doesn't taste very good, but then it is not drunk for its taste, just for its effect lol!
