Well i want to know if it's possible for my 19 soon to be 20 year old boyfriend to care about me like he says he does all my friends say he just wants to be with me for all the wrong reasons and i'm to in love to see them but is it that he is too old for me or can he really like me for me and i'm only 16. I really like him and he treats me better than guys my own age What should i do??

The age difference between you two is not bad. And in some states it is not illegal. Girls mature a lot faster than guys do, so it is natural for gals to go out with older guys. I would say be careful, make sure your parents are OK with him(just in case your state is one of the ones that it is illegal in), and make sure he treats you right. As long as he is good to you, and you both are happy that should be all that matters. You are both young enough where you should be able to have fun together and be able to care for each other but not necessarily be worried about marriage or long term commitments. Just have fun, and be safe! Good Luck! Oh and by the way, if your friends are saying he is too old and yada yada yada they may be jealous. Females tend to be that way especially in high school!

listen dear this is illegal for a reason. Beacause becoming an adult is a long process and takes maturity responsibility and most of all EXPERIENCE you can't make decisions like this on your own. A boy 20 going out with a girl that is 16 is not really moral. As everyone else will probably tell you he is only after one thing, nooky. You probably think he likes you and that you might be in love with him or have feelings for him and that he feels as strongly as you do but its not so. Beliveve me i am a 22 yr old male and i can tell you for sure at both of your ages this will be an unproductive relationship that will end up being bad for you. Your feelings will most likely be hurt and you will have much regret. Stick with boys your age- i know their immature but just be patient sweetheart, enjoy life and make good well thought decisions. You will grow up so fast (I know you say "yeah right") and then you can date boys this old with obtained knowledge and experience. I hate to tell you something other than you want to hear and blabber on forever but it concerns me when i hear a question like this. I have a sister about your age and i am so sad at most of the decisions she makes... PLEASE be smart- focus on school and make boys a secondary priority! SCHOOL GETS YOU MONEY AND THEN WHO NEEDS BOYS?? :-P

Usually, a 19 year old is not going to like someone 16. They are right. Lots of times, people see things that we can't because we're emotionally involved,
A 19 year old wants to be with an 18 or 19 year old. they're groing fast and don't want to go backwards.

at 16 older men, guys have more experience and look way more appealing then boys your age but at 16 you are way to young for him if you were 20 and he was 24 no big deal or 30 and 26 its nothing , but at 16 it's all the time in the world... dump him and stay friends or find someone else i think you need more experience and he is not the right person to be with you ...

well he is only 3 years apart thats not bad just dont have sex yet tell him you need to wait a bit when u get older but the only thing is ask yourslf this why does a 20 want to be with a 16 year old and he could be with someone his own age?

umm in some realtionships 16 and 20 yrs old work. But some guys are really in it for the wrong reasons. But thats ur choice how to tell.

Honestly, you are jail bait to him. He is after one thing only. He needs to date an adult 18 or older. Get rid of him, before he uses you, abuses you and dumps you.

Don't try to control your feelings. If you love him and he loves you just go with the flow. It sounds like he takes you seriously and respects you. If he's who he says he is he won't mind if you don't want to do...things...with him just yet.
