The life span of parrots? It depends on what type of parrot. Some will live only about 8--10 years and others have been documented to live in capitivity up to 100+ years.

Well... the life span of most parrots is about 80 years... I listed several bird types below and their life spans if you wanted a comparisom.....

Depends on the species. The larger macaws and cockatoos can live upwards of 60-80 years. The worlds oldest parrot was a cockatoo who lived to be 120. African Grey parrots can live to be 50, eclectuses around 30 and the smaller parrots such as cockatiels, conures and the grass parakeets live around 25- 30. Budgies can live to be 15.
Most birds live much shorter lives due to illness, accidents and poor nutrition.

Depends on the type of parrot, but can be anywhere from 10 years for some of the little guys to over 70 years for the bigger ones, like macaws.

alot depends on the type parrot and the care given to them. i have known some of the larger ones like macaws to live up to 75 years. and the smaller ones around 15 to 25 years. i friend of mine has an umbrella cockatoo that is 57 years old. she has had it in her family since she was a little girl, and her parents left it to her in their will.

50-60 years for big parrots. Parakeets (budgies) can live for 15 years.
