When I was in the seventh grade, I had to deal with a teacher who genuinely hated me. My first attempt at handling it was by plotting malice against her, and I was caught up in my own conspiracy for most of the school year. Then everything fell apart by April of that school year: My parents realized that I would indeed have carried out my violent plans, and they stepped in and found help for me. That was when I knew that I needed to rebuild every fiber of my mental, emotional, and spiritual being-meaning that everything about my ways had to be changed except for the way I look. I had always accepted the idea of Christianity as a truth, but I wasn't a devoted believer in God until I turned to Him after the complete debacle of my practices. It has been more than four years since that fateful occurrence: I still believe in God and in Jesus, and I am a happier, more talented, and more satisfied with who I am now than I ever have been before. God has been the change I have always wished to see in my life.
My advice to you is that if you haven't accepted God as the guide along the path of your life and accepted Jesus as your Savior, you should take the leap of faith now before it's too late. And if you are a devoted believer, don't ever stop believing no matter what happens to you: remember, God gives us a few trying times in our lives so that we can better and fully appreciate the immense joy that He sends to us.

I don't think it's as cut-and-dry as we try to make it in the Western church. For me, it's been a process, a journey. I am saved, but I am still being saved, and will be saved.

I "prayed 'the prayer'" when I was four, but had no clue what I was doing. In fact, I didn't understand what I believed or why until I went off to college. But there were encounters with God and defining moments during the years in between. There were movements one way or the other, toward God and away from Him. There were even after I my more dramatic "conversion experience" at 18. There still are today.

I don't think "saved" and "unsaved" fit quite in the neat little boxes we try to make...

I was 8 when I was baptized. Four years later I stood in the church watching people talk to air and thought: "You guys are all nuts. I've felt more spiritual in a bleak desert."
And I was saved from wasting many a Sunday morning in a stuffy building with a bunch of boring, judgemental people and took up whitewater kayaking instead.

Spiritually i will only be saved at judgement day which will only happen WHEN WE ALL DIE..but I received salvation from physical death when Christ was ressurrected..you really need to learn about Christ's atonement..it is the KEY to Christianity...

WE CAN'T BE SAVED WITHOUT WORKS..READ JAMES 2 PEOPLE...JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT IT SAYS DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN DISCARD IT..

THERE WILL BE A DAY OF JUDGEMENT AND THAT IS THE DAY YOU WILL BE SAVED...BELIEVE IN CHRIST IS A PRE-REQUISITE...NOT THE WHOLE ENCHILADA..

THAT IS LIKE A PARENT SAYING..WELL I TAKE CARE OF MY CHILD...

WELL GREAT! YOU WANT A COOKIE BECAUSE YOU DID SOMETHING EVERY PARENT HAS THE OBLIGATION TO DO???

When I was about nine years old. Since then I've had to "re-dedicate" myself, but I'm glad I did. Being a Christian isn't easy, but it's definitely worth it!
