Exodus 31:16-17 16Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

17It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

Isaiah 40:28 Do you not know?Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

My guess is that "The Divine Personality" - the Holy of Hollies grows "weary" of being exposed to the scope of human idiocies. It is not reasonable to "make-up" irrational propositions about an omniscient and omnipotent being e.g., "Is it possible for God to create something so large that He, Himself, cannot move it?" Our bounded rationality and knowledge of physics is the reason alone for us to ask only those questions that may offer some real insight into the mind & intentionalities of God. Your question smacks of a "false dichotomy" which is excusable - even understandable, but hardly optimal in its incisiveness.

Yeah, that is why he made the Earth in 7 days instead of one sitting. He got tired and had to get some sleep before the next step.

i think he does, i was reading about how god got in a wrestling match with Jacob and Jacob outlasted god throughout the night and at daybreak god said rejoice for you have defeated god and you now deserve the name Israel (or something to that extent). weird story though....if the god of the bible gets angry. jealous, vengeful, and merciful like humans i dont see why he wouldn't get tired either...

Since He neither sleeps nor slumbers, He is obviously never "tired." The word "rest" and the word "refreshment" did not originally mean what we take them to mean now. Rest meant to stop working. Refresh meant to become fresh and filled again. Good question!!!!

Yes I imagine he does. Tired of being left out of our daily lives.Tired of Muslim nuts killing in the name of ALLAH. Tired of excluding him from the direction of our country that was made the GREATEST COUNTRY ON EARTH that our Founding Fathers based this land on HIS teachings. Yes I guess GOD does get tired

You must understand that time has no limits with Jehovah. One year to us can be 1000 years to God.

just because he rested...it was to mark a day off...it was not because he was tired in the physical sense as we are..

it was to show us that we DO need to rest from OUR labors and keep the sabbath day holy..
the bible is not 100% literal...although it is obvious that you think so...
