you dont need to loose 10 pounds
5 should be good enough

A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER:
The correct way to burn fat and stay healthy is to burn more calories than you consume
You need to make sure you are eating healthy foods while still excercising
If you have a big appetite drink plenty of water so that you will feel full but not consume calories
But you should always eat
If you start to skip meals you will only be more hungry at your next meal and probably eat way too much
Remember, the average persons stomach is as big as a slice of pizza scrunched up into a ball
So you shouldnt be putting more food into your stomach than what fits
Also, it takes aproximately 15-20 minutes for your brain to realize that you are full
so eat slower and you will realize sooner when you are not hungry anymore

You don't need to lose 10 lbs. That would be too thin for 5'6". Try working out more -- a little weight training will tighten everything up and you'll look thinner although you will weigh the same. It's not all about weight, it's about the ratio of fat and muscle.

Drink alot of water and try switching meals instead of having a big lunch have a Ensure Drink it's like a food supplement and it has all types of vitamins and minerals you can lose out on anything! Its very healthy and they have it in Vanilla, Strawberry, & Chocolate! and for breakfast try eating wheat bread with a slice of swiss chees or low calorie cheese! and then have a big healthy dinner like Oven Baked Chinken, Broccali and white rice or Chicken and salad! Or you can switch it around have the Ensure for Breakfast or even Dinner! But only drink one a day cuz it has too many Vitamins and minerals! Oh yeah, also try dancing for an hour a day like really hyperactive dancing that kills a ton of calories!

To be honest it is not good for your health to drop weight that quickly. Your weight paired with your height and age show that you are right where you should be. You are at an age that you need nutrient rich food. I would suggest dropping any foods that have empty calories and no nutritional value. For example, rice cakes, soda, chips etc. Avoid eating large meals. Instead eat small frequent meals. Eat about every two hours. Good snacks between meals would be fruit, nuts and hard-boiled eggs. The most important factor in losing weight is revving up your metabolism with activity. Walk, jog, swim and aerobics. Please be careful not to focus too much on your weight I know it is difficult to not to.

Good luck! Remember stay active.

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if your trying to lose weight, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:

*1) Burn more calories then your consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity. Get a fitness calculator that you can put on your cell phone and computer. This will allow you to easily calculate this formula, log your daily calorie consumption, and log your physical activities.

*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.

At 5'6 height you're a normal weight with being 120 lbs. If you loose weight I believe you'll be classified as underweight which is just as bad as being overweight.
