Have you ever awoke, and saw through the disguise of organized religion, yet felt like on the inside you did need an inner renewal of some sort, true inner spiritual renewal, that doesn't try to put God in a church, mosque, or synagogue, or in a book., It's easy to put God in a book, for then we feel like we have a certain amount of control over what he's like, when we should be applying anything about the spiritual and "God' to the inside of us, through a new beginning of our souls, it seems to me, a new paradigm of individual spirituality.

Yes, I've felt that before. I still sometimes long for something new, but everything I've seen so far is so fake.

Read The Mind of God by Paul Davies. Some of the other answers to your Question are very good. Do find a pleasant place in a natural setting where you feel comfortable. Sit down, clear your mind and let the natural world come to you. The problem with organized religion is that they are all trying to tell you what God is saying. Language is inadequate to to describe this experience. Simply open your mind and close your mouth. It will come to you.

of course. God put that yearning in there himself. Ecc 3:11 says he's set eternity in the hearts of men. it's just like when we get bored being married to the same person for awhile, work is required to keep the relationship fresh. sometimes it helps to head out to nature for inspiration, or read a new book, or have a good chat w/someone, or make some big decision to be different.

Your post reminds me of a switchfoot song called "new way to be human".

First off, I'll say I am a Christian.

Second, you said "new" many times. Do you understand now what it means to be "born again"? Do you know how many times God says "new"..."new life", "new spirit", "new heart"...think about that

I'm not going to "lecture" you. But I will suggest read the gospel of John. (Use a new version that will be easier to understand...even though it won't be translated as well as the KJV).

You don't seem to be a fan of religion, but check out what the Bible says:
Collosians 2: 20Since you died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belonged to it, do you submit to its rules: 21"Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!"? 22These are all destined to perish with use, because they are based on human commands and teachings. 23Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.

James 1: 27Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: [...] to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

I also put a (sort of) related link below, if you are interested.

christianity, islam, judaism, all these religions are ways for people to express thier faith. the traditions were built a long time ago and might not really work for everyone. so long as you find god somewhere, no matter what traditions he is masked behind, I think you will have found what you're looking for. what I'm trying to say is, don't let the traditions of established religions hold you back.
We don't have a name for this. Its not atheism and its not really agnosticism. Whatever you end up choosing to believe, don't go switching around.

What you need is not a religion. What you need is a relationship with Jesus, who is God.

Call me crazy. Call me a Jesus Freak. Go ahead.........

Ok, that's enough.

When you have a relationship with Jesus, you have the Holy Spirit living within you. That's having God living inside of you.

It's not going to church, putting money in the collection plate, reciting the liturgy and dancing in the aisles that gives you a relationship with Christ. Praying to him genuinely (it's like having a conversation instead of "O Most Holy Glorious One, how I beseech thee to bestow upon me Thy great blessings and mercy..."), feeding the hungry, caring for others, doing what Jesus did on earth...etc. is what a true follower of christ should do.

There's so many "Christians" that are looking for something new because they aren't getting anything out of their "religion." That's because they don't have a relationship with Christ. They just do boring rituals week after week. Jesus hated stupid rituals.

Nothing new has been stated or presumed. Many people have felt that way for generations. Some learn to live accordingly and others give in to the structures and the passing pieces.
