Well...I think it is because Christians have a mandate to spread

the "Good News". It is a job description that comes with the

territory. I agree that some do it very aggressively and make

assholes of themselves.

For the most part, the run of the mill Christian reminds me

of "Sam I am" from Green Eggs and Ham. He or she honestly

believes that you would "like" Christianity if only you could be

persuaded to "try it". Many will happily ignore your protests,

polite declines, irritated rebuttals, and manic pleads for solitude

and treat you like a young child who doesn't want to try ice cream

for the first time.

Perhaps if you try Christianity, you too will worship in a boat, with

a goat, in the air, anywhere!!! lol

Good Luck

Jimmy

If you "atheists" would have left us alone people wouldn't be in their own hell hole. We could still have prayer in school, say the pledge of allegiance, and have "In God We Trust" on our own money. But it is people like you that throw your opinions to the White House. This country and government was built on beliefs. How did that go? You should have state and church, but not state in church. Why can you have an opinion and the rest of us that believe in God can't? You want the freedom of free speech? Then we should as well.

Christians just like to try and convince everyone that they're beliefs are the "right ones" I'm a christian without a denomination and I couldn't really give a could care either way, I think it's all in the way you live your life. End of Story.....

When you become a Christian, they take a vow to become a disciple of Christ and spread the word around. You can't really faze these people because their faith is really strong. So they tend to be annoying and will use whatever tactics to make you come on their righteous side. I'm blacklisted thank god from all churches in the Southeast for the stunt I pulled...:)

First of all Christians have a responsibility to bring the unsaved and the unbelievers to know who Christ is, that is our job. I do believe there are a lot of people who r making christians have a bad name. They do this by pushing people too much, trying to make the unsaved/unbeliever feel like their so wrong. There was a time when we all questioned if there was really a God and thats what we need to tell people. We need to let them know what God has done for us.

I know for a fact that the christain religion wouldn't say something like "accept jesus or go to hell" because for one, i am christain and when you say "hell", thats a sin, even though i say it all the time. But seriously, its a religion, its a fredom we have in America. You'll just have to deal with it.

Good question, but the same question can be posed by all the many atheists on this board who can't seem to leave us Christians alone.

Read the questions. Every day, you'll find a whole set of new questions by atheists calling believers in God "stupid," "dumb," "gullible," "unintelligent," and everything else.

Those are extremest, just because someones beliefs are different, I guess the whole "love my neighbor " rule is thrown out the window. LO, I forget the whole treat others as you your self would want to be treated, only counts if you are trying to be a perfect clone to the rest of every one else.

You're an atheist, and you've spent the day in the Religion and Spirituality section?
You came to the Religion and Spirituality section to ask this?
You wasted five points on this?
And I'm supposed to admire the intelligence of atheists?
PUH-LEEZE!!

The people saying those types of things are complete morons, that's why. Personally, I recognize they do not represent all Christians, or even the majority I think. They seem to be an obnoxious vocal minority (aka loudmouthed dumbasses).
