because we believe that he is the Messiah. The one who came to save the world. People of Jewish faith believe that the Messiah is yet to come. The first Christians were Jews who believed that Jesus is the Messiah.

God chose to send him into a Jewish family, which is one reason the Jews have a special place in the hearts of most Christians.

In the beginning, there were so such things as Christians. The CHRISTians were a group that believed that Jesus was the son of God. The Jews remained the same group and are still waiting for the mesiah.

Because if you were to study your Bible, you would find out that the Jews are the chosen people of God, going all the way back to Abram. The Old Testament ( that's the first part of the Bible ) prophets all prophesied that the Messiah, ( that's Jesus ) would come from the line of David ( another Jew ). It all kinda falls into place if you just read the Book.

Christians very much respect Jewish people, that is the true Christians. The bible teaches us that a Savior was born, a Son was given and all who believe ON him could have eternal life. Being that we don't want to die and go to hell, we are willingly accepting His free grace given to the Jews (ehhh! rejected) and then to the Gentiles (everybody else! we'll take Him!!).

It is because the Catholic church was started by his disciples. He wasn't accepted by Jews and was in fact crucified by them.
