From birth guys are brain washed to think that women are the weaker sex, but if you actually look at the facts we women are the ones that bleed every month so they can eventually "break" us so we can get pregnant go threw all the hormonal changes and nine months later push something the size of a small watermelon out of a hole the size of a dime and then we have to feed it, bathe it, change it's dippers and eventually go back to work( doing the exact job your husband or boyfriend is doing 3 times better than they are and at half the salary and on top of that we still have to tend to our dependent children and husbands or boyfriends and they say we are the weaker sex the day I see a man nine months pregnant and giving birth to a 7Lb 9oz bouncing baby boy that is the day I will agree with them.

One word: testosterone.
Men on average have 10-20 times as much of this hormone in their bodies as women do at any given moment, and this does pollute a *lot* of our behavior.
In particular, as regards this question, it can make men more aggressive, giving them an "I can take her" attitude regardless of whether that attitude has any basis in fact or not....
And well. Let's not be completely uptight about it ok? Powerlifters and martial artists on the women's side, and chubby metrosexuals on the men's side aside, on *average* the more testosterone you have going in your body, the more *potential* you have for both having *more* muscle, and more upper body muscle, which is what a lot of jock-like guys think of exclusively when the word "strength" leaves their lips.
They likely don't see the endurance or perseverence a woman might have in the face of pain (i.e. pregnancy) as a strength, nor would they count any boost in ability that might come from an adrenaline surge (like what one of my kid sisters was capable of courtesy of having a nasty psycho temper).
So yeah, I hope this clears up a little bit of that...I know it isn't right that guys get aggro/hormonal this way, but as often as not it *is* the way things turn out.

I know of a lot of women who are into powerlifting that beat up MOST guys walking today. Starting with picking them up and throwing them across a room.
Height has nothing to do with strength. I am 6'2" and weigh 274 pounds. Bodybuilder. A petite martial arts instructor one time used me as a demo and with one move, I was down on the floor in awful pain. She took a envelope cutter, jabbed my little toe with it and the pain was amazingly bad. I could not even stand up!
