Many reasons, some of which are free sex also he could try keeping her as I say in "layaway" keep her around until he has found someone else. money, control and ego. whatever the reason I would not concern myself with it. If you feel or know that you are being strung along . cut the string and leave with your dignity. who knows if you leave him first he may find that you are more attractive because you won't let him treat you less than you deserve.
