I started using a new conditioner about a month ago - but not all the time and it still happens. They look like bug bites but they are too small to be mosquitos - I know they are not bedbugs because my boyfriend does not have them either. Any ideas on why this happens - they are so itchy!

Sounds like an allergy to me. Either rinse your hair really well or change products. You may have sensitive skin.

That really sounds like an allergy to the new conditioner. Go back to your old brand. Or it could be your skin hates the added moisture as the seasons change... get one of those big claw clips and try clipping your hair up, so it stays piled on top of your head, while the conditioner is soaking in.

If it doesn't clear up in a couple weeks, or seems to be getting worse, let your doctor have a peek at it. My son had what appeared to be an allergic reaction to new soap, and then it turned out to be a minor skin infection instead.

Stop using the conditioner;you probably have contact dermatitis. This means that you are allergic to something that comes into contact with your skin. You might need to eliminate the shampoo, the soap that you use,to track down exactly what your skin is reacting to,or get an allergen skin test from a dermatologist or allergy doctor.

And don't use Baby Magic products;they will irritate your skin because they are highly scented and contain lanolin, all bad for sensitive skin.Stay away from Vaseline, any ointments containing benzocaoine or an antihistamine. Try over-the-counter Cortaid;it's a hydrocortisone cream used to treat dermatitis.

I know someone who's skin gets irritated with a change in temperature. The solution for this person is to take 1 Clariton prior to an activity (a warm shower) that will make your skin react.

You should check with your doctor first though.

Maybe you have an allergy to the products you are using, get some natural ones like Burt's Bee products usually found at health food stores and see if it goes away.

you could be allergic to the new conditioner....try a gentle dandruff shampoo...or...use baking soda....it helps clean your hair and scalp...one weekend, when you dont have to really fix your hair for work or school...dont use the conditioner all weekend and see if that helps...if not, ask your hairsylist, they might have some remedies....they know more than just colors and cuts, and if nothing then ask a dermatologist

Yur hair doesn't cause that, I think all teens and some adults get those bumps, if you can get some one to scrub your back it will help some.
