I don't live in the state anymore and it was a bankruptcy gone bad, I can't even locate the lawyer, but I know it was discharged.

You can get them on-line by registering for a pacer account.

Go to either www.ilsb.uscourts.gov or www.ilnb.uscourts.gov , depending on whether you are in the southern or northern part of the state. There should be a link on the page for PACER. Sign up for an account, and once you get your password, you can search for your name or your social security number.

You should be able to see most of your case on the site.

It's something like 10 cents a page to look at things. They don't bill you until you get up to $10 in charges. Looking up only your case should not amount to much.

Go to the court house and ask for those papers, usually a fee is involved. Good Luck.
