Puppy is drinking but not eating. Seems to have gone deaf. Is there an illness she could have gotten that caused her to go deaf? Two days ago, she was running around and playful. Now she is staying to herself. She was born March 24, 2006 in a litter of 8. The other puppies I have left from the litter and mother are doing okay so far.

My best recomendation is to take it to the vet,but if you don't have the money take him to a rescue group they will take care of it and make sure it gets a good home, Good luck

It sounds as if the puppy may be lethargic. If they are this way they ignore all things around them and that doesn't necessarily mean that it went deaf. Worms can cause them to run fever and drink alot of water. They will start throwing up and can have bloody diharrea. Parvo will also start off this way. Get your puppy to the vet immediately otherwise the results may be fatal. If this is worms or parvo, the other puppies will more than likely do the same thing.

You need to take her to the vet. I can't imagine what would make her deaf, but maybe she is just lethargic that she is not responding.
BTW- You shouldn't be breeding your dog, maybe think about getting the dog spayed! You are adding the overpopulation of dogs in this world. So many get put down because there are not enough homes to take in these dogs.
Do you know that just ONE out of every 8 dogs survive to old age. Kind of makes you think, since you have 8 puppies.

My first thought is Distemper. My brother's dog acquired this and was fine one day and definitely not the next. This dog HATED me and I could NEVER feed him because he would try to bite me. After he got sick he came to my room and whined to me and when I fed him he didn't even growl much less snap at me. No, he did not eat. I gave him some fresh water and he drank. Next thing I know he is back in my room and just lays down in the floor. This went on for two days and he also had VERY runny stool that looked like tar. My brother took him to the vet and had to have him put to sleep because he could not be saved. So I urge you to please, please, please get your puppy to the vet asap and have her tested. If she tests positive then get the rest of the dogs to the vet even if they are not showing any symptoms. Also, try to contact the new owners of the rest of the litter and let them know as well. Good luck.

I would get the puppy to a vet as the puppy could of eaten or drank something that has made his sick.

You better get her to the vet and have her checked for Parvo. I would not waste another day. When pets start going off on their own, it is a very bad sign.
