Is it almost as good as the real thing?

Yes ! Both frozen and canned foods are good choices unless you have access to EXTREMELY fresh produce. Most plants that process fruits and vegetables can and/or freeze them (and, thus, halt their spoilage and loss of nutrients) very soon after they are harvested, often the same day. "Fresh" produce that you buy in the grocery store may have spent several days in transit on a truck or even a boat or airplane. So they often have lost a lot of nutrition. So unless you're picking it directly out of the garden yourself, frozen or canned is at least as good a choice, and probably better from a nutrition perspective, than a lot of the "fresh" stuff you get at the store.

The container doesn't matter, but read the label carefully to determine if it is in fact fruit juice or fruit juice cocktail. If it's the latter then the actual juice content may be only 10-20%, and the rest is corn syrup and water. If it says 100% juice, then it's truly good for you. The others are just more empty calories.
