If you don't have a French Press or any type of coffee maker you could put a coffee filter (or even a paper towel) in a strainer which you would balance carefully over a cup or measuring cup, add grounds according to how many cups of coffee you would want and pour boiling water over it all. Frankly, drip coffee makers can be bought for $10 or under, so be wild - go buy one and make your life easier!

Buy some instant coffee, put a teaspoon of it in a coffee cup, add water to the top and put it in the microwave on high for a minute or so. Instant coffee basically tastes like crap but it will do in a pinch.

You can put the ground coffee into a coffee filter and tie it closed with a twist tie, then put it into a pot. Pour water into the pot and bring to a boil. Boil for about 5 minutes, or until the coffee reaches the desired strength. The correct ratio of coffee/water is 1 teaspoon of coffee per 1 cup (8 ounces) of water, plus 1 teaspoon extra coffee "for the pot".

Cowboy coffee, baby. Throw water and coffee in a pot boil it for about 5 minutes, but don't let it boil over. Then throw cold water in it. All of the grounds sink to the bottom.

Line a strainer with a paper towel then fill with ground coffee. Then slowly pour or drip boiling water through the strainer, have a pot under to catch the liquid.
If all else fails, there is always instant.

You can buy one of those fancy European coffee presses. You put your coffee in the bottom and then add boiling water. When you are ready to serve it, you push down the plunger and this presses the grinds down to the bottom of the container and isn't dispensed when you pour the coffee.

Boil coffe grounds in a pot or kettle. When done and ready to drink, pour in a cup or two of cold water. This makes the grinds sink and you can drink the coffee on top. Not bad really.
