They say everyone should walk 10,000 steps a day to keep healthy. A good idea is to get a pedometer. 2000 steps is approx a mile. Hope this helps.

I hae no idea in mph, but an average man can walk up to 4-5 KPH, so in 2 hours a distance of 8-10 km.
With backpack it's most likely 3 KPH, so in 2 hours a man with a backpack can walk 6 KM.
You should rest when you feel tired. Some people can walk for 2 hours and hardly feel anything, others have to take a break after 1 hour. It depends on the condition and the weight you're carrying.
Overweight people often have to take more brakes then slim people.
The most important thing is that you listen to your body and rest when you're body needs it

Most people walk 2 mph. That would mean - in 4 hours, you walked 4 miles.
WOW. Thank God for cars!!
I read that people who use to go in wagons across the country went a total of 10 miles a day. Makes me want to live in the past
