You can use lemon grass in some recipes.
Otherwise people only eat grass when they are starving. In 2002 the Koreans were eating grass during a time of starvation. Afghans were reported eating grass and trying to bake it into bread. During the great potato famine in Ireland, the starving people tried to eat grass but their stomachs couldn't digest it and it made them throw up.
I wouldn't recommend eating grass, particularly not from your yard where fertilizers and pesticides may have contaminated it.

Does this mean I have to pass up the alfalfa sprouts on the salad bar? 'Grass' covers a multitude of things (Okay, pun intended). I am sure that there are some grasses that will make people sick. Heck, there are grasses that make horses sick. Personally, I have eat grass in a salad, if alfalfa counts, and we will not even talk about brownies.

Depends on what type of grass. People eat cannibis all the time in their brownies. I just wonder if lemon grass tastes like lemons?

Do you eat spinach or broccoli, or asparagus, or lettuce? these are all essentially grasses. As long as it is cleaned well does not have urine or insecticides on it you could eat it. I don't know how good it would be for you but yes I would think so.

Well, digestive system of a human being is not prepared to process plants, like cows or horses does. But it won't kill you, you could present some painful stomaches and some diarrhoea... :D

Sure as long as it's been washed (legionella and anthrax live in dirt naturally) and it has no pesticides or chemical fertilizers that have been put on it lately.
