it's every ones personal choice and taste, u can't blame anyone for it...
but: who started music? is any human able to start music? or how to start or to stop music?
i do not know exactly what you mean with classical singers... probably the classical Opera... !which is not a musical! well inform yourself about music better... only because they are singing, in the old Opera building , in the language u do not understand, does not make them that old, and also not to "music starters". or if you are talking about some other classical singers... well the formulation; started the music, is anyway wrong.

People have their own prefrences to music, and people can't be judged by what kind of music they like. Although it is unfortunet that some people can't respect the taste of others they are still intitled to their opinion. In a way it's he same as a clssical mmusic fan saying modern music is "untasteful", so it's a trade off. The best you can do is respect their opinion, and move on.

its the oldest living reflection of growth today's society we seek our own way of defining who we are through the music we listen to and being that more teenagers buy records and have more time to listen to the radio their the ones who dictate the consumer buck i e young and hip but its still all about the bucks .even back in the day it was the rich who had live performances and the poor listen to the records all still had to pay
and if there's an angle to make money trust greed to find a way to exploit it we do indeed live in time of variety when dealing with music and cause of this the classical has gotten lost even though they were the true genius of harmony

I wouldn't go that far about classical music being the beginning to all music and we wouldn't have music today because of it. But I will say this: To each his own. Sometimes we have to step outside the box and realize there is more to music than country and rap. I wouldn't call them ignorant, just shallow minded people.

If the cradle of civilization is Mesopotamia, then "classical music" as you refer to it is not the "beginning" of music; the first music was probably purely rhythmic, a la one man, two hands, and two rocks banged together (which, although still mildly popular, is vastly superior to hip hop and gangster rap). In short, as a famous man once said, there is no accounting for taste.

I grew up playing classical music, but now I like all kinds except extreme rock and rap stuff. I believe that there are earthly songs we are going to be singing in heaven, such as the "Hallelujah Chorus","Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring", and Beethoven's 9th Symphony.

Yeah I agree and most people don't know that classical music was the popular music in its day. It was paid for mainly by the church and rich people. And that Mozart and Verdi and other composers and musicians were the rock stars of their day.
