True or false....Multiple gods?

within the bible and within books exculed from the bible, god is often talking about the gentiles, even during the time in edan, so isnt this proof that there is other gods, other then the gods of the hebrews, since there had to be others to be gentiles.....I dont know if this really is a true or false question, but anyway answer it, and why do you feel this way

I think you are asking about the pagan gods that were worshipped such as Baal, molech (spelling?)and the like. The 1st Commandment tells us that the lord our God is one God and that we are not to worship other Gods. It does not say that these other gods are real. Some one just posted a reply that you could make up your own god and it would be real. Sort of like making a salad I guess. You pick and choose what you want god to be according to this type of foolishness. Anyway just as stupidity runs rampant today, it was back then as well. So the other gods we are to not worship can be false gods.

When they talk about the gods of gentiles, they are assuming they are either evil spirits/ie Satan or simply idols. Either way, to the hebrews, the other "gods" were not real gods.
