I think it varies from church to church and from funding source to funding source.

If I were hungry and someone offered me free food, I wouldn't care if they wanted me to attend an innocent service. They aren't asking you to do anything illegal or immoral. If you don't want to attend the service, that's your decision alone. I hope the church would feed you anyway, but why not sit back and enjoy the meal and the show. If you are so hungry that you have to seek free food the service might give you a few answers to your problems.

I guess each church would have its own rules about the free meals. My church doesn't require any type of attendance in order to get a meal. We are just out to help those that are in need, not force our beliefs on them before we feed them.

I hope they can eat without attending the service
Other wise I don't feel they are doing a good duty for God.

Varies from place to place. Many just offer food to those who need it. Because some have very limited ability they might have them attend something so only the truly needy stay.

I guess it depends on the church. I had never heard that, but it couldn't hurt to go to church. After all, they are giving you free food.
