my hair is very long, straight and black. yeah it seems pretty cool. but i for one am very bored with it. i tried to put curls at the bottom of my hair because i saw one of my friends do it and also i saw it in a magazine. but when i tried to curl my hair with a curler it didnt work. it would just stay flat. so i asked my friend and she said soemthing about volume. so what should i do to have volume in my hair? is there something for that??

There are lots of volumizing shampoos/conditioners and sprays/mousses etc. for adding volume to your hair. You can try some of those products and also when blow drying your hair when you're almost done flip your hair over and hold your head down and blow dry the under side of your hair. When you flip it back up your hair will look bigger (full of volume!) As far as your hair not being able to curl, it may be the curling iron you are using. If your hair is thick, it may just require more heat which you can get from a ceramic curling iron (they retail for like $20 at Target/Walmart). If you can drop some $$ on it you can get a professional one from Sally's Beauty Supply (they're around $50 and up). The ceramic curling iron distributes the heat more evenly than the metal ones. Also be sure you are using it properly and curling under not over (if you've got a crease and crispy looking ends, roll it the other way). Good Luck!!

First of all, no volumizing shampoo will help you. You need to take of some length, and add some layers and texture. You can do long layers, and as long as they are point cut, you will get a lot more movement and style to your hair. Your hair is obviously too heavy to hold a curl. So you need a new cut.

Roll your hair with big rollers. Yes I know there is going to be curls. But after you leave the rollers in for a while, maybe overnight, and comb out all the curls, your hair will have volume. Its better than teasing it and pulling your hair out and breaking your comb.

youre probably going to have to use heat to curl the bottom. if that doesn't work, wet your hair and sleep with sponge curlers in. your hair is probably too heavy to get any "volume"

try trimming it and using a good curling mousse. also use a volumizing shampoo and conditioner and like mentioned before heat is always good for curling. good luck!

put soft curlers in overnite(hard/velcro hurts) it locks in the moisture so it keeps it in place when it dries......b4 u do that use a volumizing shampoo & cond. then put a volumizing serum in and tease your hair then put the curlers in.

properly, you want to get right into a habbit of no longer doing this, and a good thanks to attempt it really is the position a skinny string bracelet round your wrist, thats tight sufficient to no longer fall off yet free sufficient to take off, and placed on it for twenty one days. in the present day you at the instantaneous are not allowed to p.c.. at your scalp (it takes 21 days to commence/end a habbit) if in those 21 days you do p.c.. at you scalp, then take off the bracelet and placed it on the different wrist and commence back. After 21 days of no longer picking at your scalp, you would possibly want to be out of the habbit and would take the braclet off.

Shave your head, silly. It's much easier! And it's cooler in the winter and SO much easier to keep the sideburns even.
