yes. firstly the infected areas looks reddish, it starts to itch.Try not to scratch it. If u do, it will turn into rashes or red spots. The more your scratch, the rashes will spread to the neigbouring area.If the situation is controllable, sort out the remedy below;
1-Clean the wound with luke warm salt water (salt is a great natural antiseptic, u can also try commercial made like Dettol)
Repeat this 2-3 times a day
2-Apply anti-fungal/anti inflammation cream such as Trilon E,Econazine, Nixoderm. U can simply find those in the pharmacy store.
When the infection subsides, try to apply some Vitamine E cream to smoothen the area.

Personally, mine didn't spread. I had mine for about six months not fully knowing what the heck it was because the dr. told me it was eczema. When i was finally treated with an antiobiotic cream for ringworm instead of eczema, it healed.

it looks like a burn scar and gets bigger and bigger until you get the proper cream for it. and it is itchy and dry
