God is by nature eternal- He has no end or beginning. Tell your son that it might be hard to understand because people's minds weren't made to be able to understand all of what and who God is. Tell him that one day we will see God and all of his glory and then we will be able to understand.

I pray you keep raising your son in a home where it is OK to ask questions and want to understand and know God. I pray that he becomes a strong Christian young man. I can see the great things in him already. thank you for raising your son following Christ. God bless.

NO ONE!
If God had to be made then someone would be superior to Him.

John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

God is Eternal, no beginning and no end. Your 5 year old will understand that about as much as the rest of us do, which is not much since we are slaves to time and He is not. But just be simple... "No one did, God has always been and always will be"

God cannot be made or created, he is the Creator. In the beginning, before all things, there is God. Read Genesis then you will be able to intelligenly answer your child's question.

We are humans and are not supposed to have the answer to everything. We think we know it all because it makes us "feel better"-about life, reality, religion, etc. Tell your child that no one knows the answer to that question & that he/she'll have to wait for that one. There will be many more questions in life that you won't be able to answer to your child. Help your child to accept that we are not God so we could never understand or explain "who made God".

Psa 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

In His word, God tells us that He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, and the great I AM. He has always been! Either all of His Word (The Bible) is true or it is not. I would rather die believing the Word and find out that it wasn't true than to die not believing and find out that it was. You choose!

God is the creator of all. He has no creator and you should tell your 5 year old that God was the creator of the world andhe has no creator because he was the first creator.

God is non-contingent.

In five year old terms, no one made God. He always was. He is now. And he always will be.

In simple, yet very confusing terms, God is the uncreated-creator. It's a concept that seems simple, but yet is very hard to understand. It is probably so hard to understand, that only those who truly do, are genius.
