I have a boy-friend of a year and two-in-a-half months. We are both 15 'courting' and I sometimes I have to wonder if he wants to hold my hand, and other times I want him to. How can I know if he wants to? He's kinda shy, and reserved, and I don't know if he's nervous that I won't want him to, or what. We havn't talked about holding hands or stuff, just that we don't want to kiss. BUT I want to know how I can decipher the guy code of "I want to hold her hand so bad but I'm scared and I don't know if she wants me to" and the code to let him know "You can hold my hand" when he's possibly thinking that and when he's not.
Help !

Just do it. trust me. if uv been going out for over a year, just slowly grab his hand when ur walking together. it won't freak him out unless he's a total loser who you wouldn't want to date anyway. if u have been dating that long, u should feel comfortable with each other. he probably wants to also but is afraid he'll come on too strong. but seriously, if uve been dating that long. in my personal opinion, the one year mark is about when u can start making out. everybody is differant though.

I have a female friend who likes to hold my hand in public too. It is awkward for me but some people do that when they feel close to you. If you are interested in this girl to be more then a friend ask her what she sees you as, a friend or a romantic interest. If you are only interested in being her friend then it sounds like you are a very good friend and she trusts you. She may be telling you about past hurts because she is opening the door to you but is warning you that she can't bare any more pain right now so if you only want to be friends she is happy for it but if you want to be more she is warning you to play nice! Next time you want to hold his hand just reach out and do it. You might be surprised that he doesn't pull away even if he's a little shocked at first. This is a first for him too so he's not sure what to do, if it's 'wrong' or 'too fast' and there's absolutely nothing wrong with holding hands. I think it's cute!!!

Ask him what he would like to do. If you want to hold his hand, that is perfectly acceptable and innocent. You won't be doing anything wrong. It is just holding hands. Even as simple as that is, it means a lot and people won't see you as wrong or dirty if you take his hand as well.

girl please! if he does not want to kiss you and you do not want to kiss him trust me he dies not want to hold your hand. kissing is the first level and touching is second. you know when someone wants to hold your hand because when you walk beside them your hands tend to hit one another and they end up intertwined and neither of you knows who initiated it. But try this one when you are walking together grab his hand to show him something like you are leading him to see something and do not let it go, if you feel his fingers slipping you should to. you should be slipping away to someone who does want to hold your hand then, GIVE HIM THE FIINGER.
