just yesterday i posted the fallowing question: "a few questions to all muslims". for details this is what i wrote: "i always wanted to ask these questions to a muslim, but i was afarade they'd bomb my house. #1 does any muslim country got along with a another country that is not muslim mojority?#2 what would be your responce to this statement, '99.99% OF TERRORIST ARE OF ISLAMIC BACKGROUND'.#3what if someoe critisize your religion, what would be your responce? FIGHT?"

yahoo answers took my answers off the net, because they said they promted hatred and violence.
i also did write a complaint letter.

this is the letter i wrote:
Dear Yahoo Customer Care,
I was accused of wrong doing when I posted my question. My
question was "a few question to all the Muslims?" Yahoo answers removed
my question. The Reason of Violation:Incites Violence or Hatred. I do
not
agree with this reason of violation. Its all on the way you look at it,
I was just searching for questions. The questions were biased, but they
did not encourage violence or hatred in any way. They were questions
just like any other questions on yahoo answers. I request that my
question be re-posted on yahoo answers. It will be appreciated
Thank you in advance

Well lets take a look at the problems in that step by step.
#1: You say "i always wanted to ask these questions to a Muslim, but i was afarade they'd bomb my house." Unless you were joking this saying that you think all Muslims bomb houses. I wonder how that statement could possibly "promt hatred and violence".

#2: In your first question you ask "does any muslim country got along with a another country that is not muslim mojority?" The way you phrase this question it is obvious that you believe the answer is no. Which leads to the assumption that you think Islam is a hate mongering religion. While this assumption might not be true it seems like it is.

#3: Your second question seems to show that you believe the statement to be true. However in a way you could be posing a hypothetical question which I don't think should be a problem.

#4: Once again the wording of your third question shows you are already assuming that all Muslims will choose to fight.

So yes I fully agree with Yahoo in this matter. Shame on you for asking it.

I think you making a blanket statement about Muslims bombing your home is promoting hatred.
What you have to understand is, that while there are those extremists out there, the ones who aren't, are as angry as Christians, Jews, Hindus, Pagans, or anyone else about the violence going on. How do you think they feel having to be discriminated against day in and day out simply because they are Muslim, or Middle Eastern? While what is going on with the Extremist Muslims in the Middle East is horrendous and wrong, you have to realize that those few are only a small percentage of Muslims. Islam is the secondly most practiced religion in the world, so in retrospect, there really are a very few who participate in the violence and hatred.

I think it's just fair that yahoo took out the answers. By asking this type of questions, I think you are being insensitive to the other religion. I guess if you really wanna get this type of answers, well i advice you to ask this nicely and beforehand, get all the details right. From your question, I felt that you are just being bias to these ppl.. Meaning just becoz of one person bombing the whole city, you are accusing that the others who are in the same religion as them will bomb the other cities.. Get your misconceptions correct before asking your question... And pls, though I'm not a muslim, I will have this common sense thingy telling me that not all muslims are terrorists.. I suggest you could also more of your common sense to begin with... Okies!

Yes, it's fair what yahoo answers did. Your question should have been removed. I'm not muslim, but I too would have reported you for the question you have posted. "They might bomb my house" is a stereotypical comment. Not all Muslims are like that.

I think that that is unfair because you were just asking a question; if you meant it to be hateful then yes, it would be fair, but because no one knows the intention of your message, it would be understand to take it off the net. However, people have a freedom of speech, including while on the internet and unless someone has complained about your question then it should have stayed on here.

All of these stupid religious questions should be banned all it does is create controversy. Why do you think they took the whole religious stuff out of schools?Because of trash that is happening on this website.People cannot keep their mouth shut and answer honestly they have to ''right'' and fight for it.

Make sure you have a false address on your yahoo account. I see some potential bombers answered your question before I did. Good Luck and stay low man.

Your questions do show that you're stereotyping Muslims, in general, as violent and self-serving people.

However, I would be interested in hearing responses from any Muslim individuals who might be on this site!?
