They want a physical address so that they know where to find you. Use your street address, and you're more likely to get approved.

If your question is, do l need a mailing address instead of a po box, the answer is yes. No credit card company in the US
will ship to a po box. you must provide a valid street address.

You need a credit rating, to be a certain age, and to be earning...

I know some students manage to get credit cards they cannot afford...I remember a case where a father got rejected and his student son got offered a credit card with the same company. Grin!!!

It varies with the company and who is actually processing the card...

A physical address is required so that if you don't pay the bill the credit card company will sell the debt to a debt collector, who may sue you, and they have to have a physical address for the sheriff to serve you with a warrant!

Credit card companies DO NOT SEND CREDIT CARDS TO PHONE-BOOTHS-GIVE AN ADDRES -EVEN YOUR PARENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!
