Our two female cats (Laxy and Solo) are almost a year old. Solo got out a while ago and we thought she was lost for good. We took in a male kitten (Bork) and then Solo reappeared! Bork growls at the cats and they stalk and attack him, especially Solo. Will they get over this or do I have to find a new home for Bork? I hope not, we love him.

The way I read it - Solo left for a while left Laxy alone until you took in Bork, right? Okay Solo came back found out what Bork and Laxy had been up too and got upset. Either that or Laxy and Solo are lesbian cats and don't want Bork around.

Yes, the cats will sometime eventually get over this feuding. The only reasons cats act that way (or any animal in particular) is because they think the other animal (in this case the other cat) is trying to invade their turf and personal space. The cat might also think that you are going to give the new cat more attention then you will it. If the animal is really attached to it's owners, then it will not be able to be happy anymore unless you show them both that they can get along and you will show one as much attention as you will the other cat. That's what i had to do. I also had a puppy and a kitten that got along great and went everywhere together. Wherever you would see the puppy you would usually see the kitten, and vice verse. i hope i helped!!!!

Yes of course they can but it might take a while and then again may not. Think of it this way - do males and females get along in human beings?

yes, they can. I have a male and female and they get along great! They were babies together at the shelter though, so it didn't take too much time for them to adjust to each other here.

they will eventually get over this. i ahev had up to 5 cats at once and they may not have liked each other at first but now theyall got along... and some didn't neccisarily get along but they kept their distance from each other and still lived in peace. just make sure you keep their nails clipped so no one gets hurt while they settle in

Any male & female cat can get along. It is just up to the cat's if they want to or not.
