Why is it when Muslims are offended they go berserk? and when Christians are offended they go otherwise?

Not trying to offend somebody here, but this is just a practical question...

the otherwise...ahm... something more peaceful, not slamming cars and taking hatred on the streets

we don't go berserk today buddy, just watch the news

i mean Christians would just take it solemnly...

oops sorry... once again this is just a practical question... i have muslim friends and they're open to this questions

It goes both ways. The Muslims that go berserk, as well as other religious groups, do so out of ethnocentric as well as the personal beliefs that their religion is the correct one and all others are false. Most of these are from fanatics, whose minds are closed to other groups (prejudice). The majority of Muslims are not like that. It all depends on the offense. In the
late 1980's or early 1990's, Richard Mapplethorpe created a controversy when he put a crucifix with a Jesus on it in a jar of urine and called it art. The resulting fallout after the uproar was that art was censor and a tighter rein was put on public money supporting art. Now, replace that with the word, "Mohammad" or a miniature version of the Qumran, you'll get the same thing. Christians are also have been known throughout history to have purged ethnic groups, but again, they don't represent everyone and cultural ignorance contributed to it.

Christians are some of the most Hateful people I know.
They are also some of the worst most bloody murderers if you do not accept their doctrines.

It is not the religion - it is the person.

As for Islam vs. Christians. If you did your researches or at least watch the History channel. You will know that Judaism, Christianity and Islam are basically the same religions. They have the same characters. The only problem is, Islam has remained pure to the stories and have not omitted books like the Roman Catholics have done. Hey... read about it.

WE are all the same people fighting the same war for the same purpose but from opposite sides.

Religion don't make people bad - You can do that yourself without their help. You can choose to be hateful or Peaceful.

Isn't it the Christians who are killing abortion doctors?? Aren't they the ones responsible for all of the killing during the Crusades and the Inquisition? How about their treatment of American Indians on the reservations in the late 1800's and early 1900's? Wasn't it the Catholic Church that forced the conversion of and then enslaved the California Indians at the missions in the 1700's and 1800's? Aren't they the ones who are on a mission to "save" the world by any means necessary? I would say that they go berserk too.

muslims dont go berserk. Only berserk muslims go berserk. Christians have also done their share of dumb *** things when they get offended. No religion is without a bunch of crazy extremists that feel like they should kill people to make a point, except maybe the buddhists. yaaay buddhists.

plz stop saying these things about muslims. i am a muslim and i really feel hurt that u are saying this. becasue there is no human that dose not get crazy and angery when there is said something about their people or religion. u see muslims care more about their lord and religion more than christians. There are a ton of Muslims who don't go beserk when they are offended. Unfortuntely Media has a way to spin stories to create the reactions they want. They manipulate us into thinking that Christians are weirdos, Muslims are terrorists, and other fallacies.

you can't judge an entire group of people by the bad things a few of them do...and there are bad people and good people in all different cultures and religions...not only in islam...

and yes a previous answerer said christians forgive and go on with their lives....
the most popular religion practiced in the world is christianity....if christians really forgave and moved on, why are there so many jealous ex g.f's/b.f's, murderers, rapists etc...in the world??...i'm not sayin that they all are christian but since christianity is most popular the odds of them bieng christian is higher...there are sinners in all religions....but there is no point in targeting a certain religion...

You seem to need to read up on Muslims..you don't seem to know much...since becoming Muslim..i myself have been a more peaceful person..that is what is taught..to be a good person..why dont you type the words..ISLAM and read and learn..thanks
