I don't think it really matters what branch of service you are in, we all risk the same and matter just as much as the others. If you think the Navy avoids flying lead you haven't heard of the Straits of Moloca where the Navy on a regular basis engage modern day pirates that have RPG's, Mortars, Grenades and Automatic weapons that match anything that can be bought on the weapons market. Or you haven't heard about the bomb that killed twelve of my shipmates on the USS COLE in Yemen. Now that I have told you people can die just as much as others does that make you feel better? I can't belive you would ask this question, unless your just jokin around.

I think some people may be scared of flying, but i don't think that's what they're thinking about when they are deciding where to go in the military. I'm thinking about joining the Navy, because i have a strong feeling for it. I never bothered thinking about joining the others, it's just the only one that sparked my interest. Perhaps, just more people are interested in the Navy.

Navy is not at all easy. My husband has been in for over 3 years. He joined because the jobs were better. The contract he sign was a better offer then the other branches. I also think people sign up for the navy thinking they won't get shipped for war. Which is not true at all. Sailors are starting to serve tours too. There are talks about every Sailor doing a tour.

Because Navy will give you a good career and you can travel the world.
I'm joining because i wanna be an Aircraft mechanic and i wanna travel the world while i'm doing my job. Everyone has their reasons. For people who wanna be on base all the time they will go with the Air Force. If they wanna go to war they will go with either Army or Marines. More respect= Marines.

Afraid?

In peacetime the Navy is the most dangerous.

In war its second (behind Army, ahead of Air Force).

Maybe people like the lifestyle, maybe they want to travel, maybe they like subs, or navy SF's, or helo flying off ships, or frigates, or naval tactics.

It's not like it's the Chair Force in Baby blue. Protecting freedom from the safety of their desk.

Only 0.3% of AF personnel are pilots.

Stupid, do you think the Navy is easy? The military has jobs in different strengths for each individual. Some are more athletic, some book smart. The Navy is not that easy to get into. My husband risks his life for you to have freedom to ask a Dumb ?'s.
And for me to answer that for you.
