I don't think so, but they do have the "advantage" of all being of one common heritage. There is an intrinsic common bond that transcends place of birth. They are all Jewish and they have the commonality of having suffered for their religion, but they can disagree with each other just like any other group. But again, in the end, they are all Jews. Makes it a lot easier to convince everyone when you have that common bond.

Might does not always make right. An old adage to be sure, but a good one.

Whether or not Israel has more "balls" than the USA Govn is not the issue. In order to understand any reasonable answer, you would have to understand military strategy, geography, politics, and religion.

From a geographical standpoint, Israel is surrounded. They perhaps feel the need to reassure their military personnel that they will not be abandoned to the "enemy". The Arab/Israeli conflict goes far beyond just a land conflict, though, it is part of a history dating back to the time of Abraham,...my guess is more than 4,000 years.

From a religious and political standpoint, I would not assume to give you an answer.

From a military standpoint, you have to consider when the good of the many, can and must, out weigh the needs of the few or the one. If the cost in lives and property is too high, then no the United States government probably wouldn't do as the Israeli government is doing.

However, having said that, there is a history within the military of never leaving a soldier behind...ask any Marine, Navy Seal, Special Forces, etc. personnel.

Yes for sure!! But it's only because the left in our country tie the hands of our government. That's why Israel loses fewer soldiers. Some here have said Israel shouldn't be so mean in fighting back. Does that mean Israel should just sit back and take all the bombings. There wouldn't be an israel if they did. If the Democrats get back in office and control the Senate we can kiss America (as we know it)goodbye. And Al Quaida is hoping just for that. They know our weakness. They don't even bother Israel because they know they can't. They hate that country too, but they fear it. I wish they feared America.

Thye sure do. the whole world is cheering Israel on for standing up to a bunch of lunatic ragheads with mush for brains.

If Israel had invaded Iraq, we'd have that country dragged kicking and squirming all the way into the 21st century by now.

I agree: Way to go, israel. If it takes bombing all of teh Gaza Strip back to the 19th century to get that soldier back, well--I guess that would teach the Palestinians a lesson wojldn't it?

As things stand now, they have offered "conditions" for the guy's return. Conditions, to solve a kidnapping and border violation that they coimmitted. Sort of shows how mentally defective they are, doesn't it?

In their own way, I would say no more balls, just more determination, we on the other hand are generally limp dicks, we just can't stay the course, can't be determined over time, and well, just don't have the nerve as a people. We are to detached, and not willing to allow those who will fight, to crack heads. We hate it when we hurt the innocent, even by mistake, and don't realize our enemies, hadjis, hurt innocent people by plan.
having been in the middle east for over 4 years, a good boot on the back of the neck is what that mob mentality group understands, individual responsibility, beyond family, is beyond their mental state.

The Israeli government has more balls than the Professional Bowling Association tour. That doesn't always mean they're right -- just tough.

I don't think it has anything to do with balls. It's the smear and hate campaign being waged by the left wing media against the Bush administration. They can't do anything without some nut claiming they're going after oil or need to increase Haliburton profits.

Actually Israel is one ball, and the US is the other. The evil powers that be is the rest of the body.
