My dog does the same thing. Only he also brings his entire "house" as I call it out of the laundry into the tv room when we're watching tv. I think he does it for many reasons, to get attention from us, and also because he simply likes playing with his bed, he sees it as a toy and loves it. I asked a similar question to this about a week ago, and the conclusion I got was, it's normal and it's cute basically.

well if your dog is like mine
she will drag it out there to get attention
when we don't pay attetntion to our dog she goes into her crate and drags one of her blankets out because she knows that we will come out there and chase until we have the blanket
so now whenever she goes outside we lock the crate and reopen it when it is time for her to go to bed

Because they know you will go and drag them back in. the cunning little buggers just love attention. However, all dogs do this - we think we are making them comfortable but they obviously have different thoughts

Why do people put dog bankets in the dog house if they know that the dog will drag it out.
Answer, not all dogs do.

becouse they like to sleep in the nature not all cooped up in a little skimpy house!!! and pluss they like to gnaw on things and play with stuff to cure give animal plunty of space and lots of toys and gnaw things.

my dog does that too!
I think either its too hot and stuff or it smells...
Maybe he just wants to sleep outside
