What is the most respectful & effective way to approach a woman you would like to meet?

A woman wants to be accepted as a whole person. As such, in order of importance, she has a heart, a mind and a body. She will assume you are interested in her body... no need to even mention that. Instead, pay attention. Watch how she handles herself. How she acts, what she says, how she feels. Find something in that which you find attractive. Then approach her and tell her. (I liked what you said about xxxxx; I liked how you handled xxxxx; etc.) Let her know first off you are interested in the other parts of her. Make them first on your priority list. Give her a chance to understand you appreciate and value those qualities in her.

There's no better way to show respect for her as a person than to actually value the parts of her that are most valuable. If you actually have that respect and truly value those things you can just be honest. She still may not be interested in you, but your approach will be an honest one, not a come-on.

Walk up to her and compliment an item of her clothing. If she comments back, her body language and tone of voice should be a key aspect of how she is feeling. Afterwards perhaps tell her that you have been curious about asking her out to dinner some night and was wondering if she would take you up on the offer. Complimenting a woman is a great way to grab attention. Pick up lines and cheesy lines like...wow...you are beautiful don't work as well. This would work for me...however I'm not so sure for any other woman. Good luck though.
