1000 calories a day is unhealthy and you risk serious damage to your internal organs if you continue such irresponsible things. Women must get at least 1500 a day and men 2000 (more if you're already bigger). You also need to mix it up and get a good balance of the food groups. Never do such diets without talking to a doctor. This is a serious consideration.

Why are you gaining weight? Well you're body is reacting accordingly to your starvation diet. Once you start taking in food it will start holding on to it more aggressively than ever.

The only way to truly lose weight and keep it off is to build muscle mass (E.g. exercise) and eat a well balanced full calorie diet. Women should get lean muscle and men lean and/or thick. Muscles burn calories many times faster than anything else and will result in you eventually losing the tummy, the fat around the midrif, etc. and overall you will feel fantastic.

good luck.

You are in the yo-yo diet mode, meaning the body adjusts itself whenever it starves for nutrients. It will go into a "protective" mode and it will adjust for the calories you consumed.

Right way is to do the exercise, drink a lot of water (8 to 10 glasses per day) and eat low-fat, low trans-fat type of food. Remember, fat is necessary. 30 grams per day is recommended.

Plenty of information is available in authentic sites; one I can recommend for you is : www.mayoclinic.com

It also describes in detail, with diagrams and other methods how to do proper situps. If you properly do this, doing 200 situps, doing weight loss on a bicycle or a treadmill are the best. It also teaches you what things to eat and what to avoid.

Losing no more than 1 1/2 to 2 Lbs (2 Kg.) per week is plenty. Any more than that will lead to health problems. You MUST consume at least 1200 to 1400 calories per day.

Good luck.

Yes, this is normal. The rapid weight loss has triggered something in the brain that says 'This body is starving!" " Hold onto EVERY calorie!"...It panicked.

You will have to consume about 5,000 calories now but only once.

We call this in the medical feild "shocking your metabolic system".

Once you eat a meal very high in calories, your metabolism will speed back up again and instead of GAINING weight from your feast, you will ACTUALLY drop some more weight.

You need to let your brain know that you are not starving.

Good for YOU!! I'm pleased to know you take care of yourself.
Keep up the excellent work!

When you reduce your calorie intake your body acts like it is in fasting mode. It stores EVERY bit of excess energy you put in (as fat, which is the most efficent way for the body to store energy). When you suddenly up your calorie intake your body still thinks that it is in fasting mode and stores all of those excess calories...AS FAT! Try to stay at a constant daily calorie intake while doing your normal workout for a while (month or more) and your body will readjust to the amt of calories you are currently taking.

No, hon, sorry. You starved yourself and your metabolism slowed down. NEVER eat less than 1200 calories a day, and really, NEVER crash diet without a doctor's supervision. I would advise you to go to your doctor right away and get a "recovery plan" for your caloric intake.
