I just got a kitten who is almost 3 months old. It's a long-haired male, solid white, with ice blue eyes. I wanted to name him something for his eyes, but can't seem to think of anything that suits me. My husband wants it to have a "manly name" (as I roll my eyes), so I'm stuck! What on earth should I name my kitten???

Well, have you asked him for any suggestions?
Also, think of some great famous men with blue eyes and maybe one of those will be suitable.

Also look up the names of Gods from Celtic, Greek, Netherlands, etc. My sister named her very blue-eyed siamese- Locke- for the God of Mischief--

Also if there is an interesting place you like or favorite movie charater- like from the Princess Bride or Star Wars or Godfather or some favorite movie- could you imagine calling the cat "Rhett" when he's lost? Or Gaston from Beauty and the Beast... Sinatra- Ol'Blue Eyes...

Sometimes if you stare at the kitty long enough when it's sleeping or playing and ask it what it wants to be called a name just may pop into your head!

Sounds like a beautifull kitten, I'd name him "Midnight" (as in midnight blue)..you would get a lot of question's as to why that name because of the color of his fur. Also suggest "River" depending on the shade of blue. Worse comes to worse, you pick 2-3 names and your husband picks 2-3 and put them in a hat and whatever you pick you agree that will be his name! Happy Name Hunting!

no longer a lot weird and wonderful, yet particularly diverse! I guess your husband is the resourceful type. i respect the names, even besides the undeniable fact that Monster Truck takes some getting use to! My husband wanted to call my first cat ******** (inspite of her being a lady!). i wanted sweet Pea. We settled on Penelope, and observed as her merely "P" for short. i imagine I received that one on condition that she then grew to change into my little sweet P. lol Edit: Oops. apparently my husbands first %. for a popularity isn't allowed on YA because it merely confirmed up as ********. enable's merely say it starts and ends with a D and the middle letters are ickhea. i imagine you get the picture.

Name him after a sports star or personality. How about: Shaq, Jason, Nash, Reggie, Mike, Derek, Mickey, Stangel, Cosmo, Tully, Deion, Barnaby, Jaromir, Yao Ming

I had a cat like that, and when we named him, we wanted him to have something he could live with - and it bothered us to name him something easy like snowball (there must be a million cats named snowball cause they are white). We wanted to name him something for his eyes too, but none of the names really seemed to stick as his personality seemed to scream that he shouldn't be named for his appearance when there was so much more to the cat. We name him Samison (Sam-ee-son), cause the long name fit the regal appearance of a long haired white cat, we spelled it wierd to account for the rarity of the blue eyes, and when we just wanted to enjoy our little dude - we called him Sam or Sammy - a good dude name. Hope it helps or gives you a good lead to finding your cat's true name.

Zulu... cannot think why, but it sounds fun
Blanco... he's white
Jynx... another reasonless one
Owl... he's white
Shadowfax... unless you're not into the Lord of the Rings
Ermine... it's white sometimes
Bear... as in Polar
Polar... as in bear
Arctic... as in white
Skipper... why not?
Leche... because milk is white and leche is milk

I cannot vouch for the manliness of these names. Sorry none incorporate blue eyes. Hope it helps!
P.S.- does he have any ideas?

You could go to a translation site and pick a word from another language for a name. Like in Urdu 'neela' means blue, you could name your kitten something like 'Neal'. Hope this helps!
