Why do young girls want to look older and older girls want to look younger?

Older women want to look younger because younger men are better looking then older men,(unless your talking George Clooney)
and because you start settleing down and look older when you get older.

Younger girls, (teens) Want to look older so they can feel older, more freedom, do what you want to do when you want to. Also because older men, (20's) are more attractive then pubescent, zit faced, teen boys.

Then again what confuses me about teenage girls is that once they become older, those teenage boys will be growing older with them! They aren't going to be left behind in high school!

If that isn't like the best answer ever, I don't know what is!

Haha. When you're young, you want to do everything. Get the guys and stuff. But then when women get older, they can't get the guys and stuff anymore so they have to look younger. Hmm.. Perfect age???.. Like 25. Haha. I don't know. It's all just a contest I guess.

Women today are surrounded by images of women -- supposedly happy and desirable women, who have everything they want -- who are within a narrow age (and weight, and height) range.

Girls younger than this age range want to look older so that they can pretend they're adults, and so that they can be happy and desirable like the women they see portrayed.

Women older than this age range want to look younger so that they can feel attractive, and because they think it is impossible to be happy and desirable unless you are like the women they see portrayed.

Many men do nothing to help this issue, because they're exposed to the same ads, and think that the only women they "should" be interested in are those who fall within that same age/weight/height/attractiveness range.

This is because of age differences young girls want to look older because they think they look to young and want to appear older than their age to attract boys and older women want to look younger because they don't want to show any signs of aging on their faces to anyone the might meet,isn't it obvious!!!

personal thought on it, is when they are younger they want an older guy because they feel they are much more mature than boys their age, which might or might not be true, and also want to have alot of fun/drink and when they get older they do not want people/guys to think that they are all washed up, they want to still feel young and want to do everything they did before, so, yep.

girls really dont want to look older they just want to be older ( like a 13yr old will want to be 18) becuz u can drive and u get a credit card. but older girls say 27) want to look younger becuz they know that they are getting older.

ok its very hard to explain.young girls want to look old cause they dont want to look like a kid but a woman.and old girls dont want to look like a grandma they want to have youth.young girls want to look 18 and old girls want to look 20 ok??
