I've seen kittens before with eye conditions so severe that it didn't seem like they would makeit in most cases they had either scratchedit or been scratched or it was due to fleas but being on the beach some crustacean or sand flea might have got it or it might have a head injury if it was tossed out.try not to move its head it sounds like your doing everything rightbe encouraged cats are very resillient. God Bless.

My kittens came from the shelter and one developed something similar. In her case, she was underweight, and immunocompromised, which meant that she was more vulnerable to all infections, including the eye ones from dust particles and dirt. She was a bit older but not much.
Let's hope that that's all it is. My vet told me to gently clean with hot compresses of chamomile tea, and prescribed antibiotic drops.
We also got Nutrigel for strengthening her, but I don't know if your kitten is old enough for it yet. But don't worry too much, this is pretty common and the eye could be just fine.

My husband and I took a sick kitten in and she had a bad eye infection. Her eye was so swollen and pussy that she couldn't open it and no matter what we did, it didnt get better. Not to mention the poor kitty was sneezing up a storm. We took her to the vet and he injected her with an antibiotic and told us to keep patting her eye with a cloth. The infection went away and she turned out to be a wild kitty. ;)
I hope the kittens eye gets better! It breaks my heart to hear about an animal with a problem like that. =(
Good luck! And update me if you can.

Your kitten could have conjunctivitus. Do not use human eye drops or antibiotics on it because they can be harmful to cats. The vet can prescribe antibiotics. Rinsing it with contac lens solution (which is sterile and has a controlled salinity) is probably a good idea. Is the kitten drinking? You need to feed her cat milk replacer. Can you get her (him?) to an emergency veterinary clinic tonight? Look on the internet under "emergency veterinary clinic" AND (your state or city nearby).
More: kittens that young can't go to the bathroom by themselves. You will need to gently rub her butt with a warm wet soft towel (to simulate mother's licking).

You probably cannot use antibiotics, but this should work, use Boracic Acid [NOT BORIC](1 teaspoon to about a pint/half litre of water) useful as an eye-bath for relieving low level eye irritations in cats. This is recommended by a vet on vetinfo4cats.com
You can buy this at the grocery store or drug store. It helped my cat when he had eye problems. I used a cotton swab to apply the boric acid.
I hope the little guy is okay.

Antibiotics can be administered, and probably should be. A lot of stray kittens develop eye problems, usually something they caught from the mother. Take it to a vet!

Yes there are drugs that can be used at that age. Best to see a vet tho. Do you know anything about alternative meds? Colloidial silver and an eye dropper would help. You get that at a health food store. I would use it every 15 minutes for at least 1-2 hrs to begin with. You can also put it in the drinking water or anything you give her to drink. It's safe..I use it for all my animals and Imake my own!
DON'T INJECT HER OR MEDICATE HER WITH DRUGS YOURSELF. SHE'S WAY TOO YOUNG FOR MOST DRUGS..LET A VET DO IT...SHE CAN LOSE HER EYESIGHT IN THAT EYE...

Losing that amount of weight in such a little amount of time really isn't healthy. It's also not practical. Under perfect conditions, you'd only lose about 50-70 lbs.
But if you want to slim down;
-If you don't already drink eight, try to drink two more glasses of water than you'd normaly drink each day.
-Walk for an hour, nonstop, each day
-Eat a large breakfast- which should include large amounts of; fruit, grain, vegetables.
-Find out what your BMR(Basal Metabolic Rate) is, and try not to consume more calories than that, daily.
-Build muscle; 1 pound of muscle consumes 35-50 calories a day.
-Try not to eat unnatural snacks(chips/candy) that contain more that 5g of sugar/fat. And absolutely NO trans fat

It sounds as though you're doing the best you can for now, and all you can do is keep the kitten as comfortable and safe as possible until you can get to the vet.
