no my dog started howling because he was hangin with the wolves i was raising.

Yes, dogs can howl.. In particular, the beagle is notorious for howling.. Normally, my other dogs do not howl but I have heard them once or twice during their life.. howl.

No--basenjis (spelling?)--or the Egyptian barkless dogs do not howl. The only real noticeable noises they make are usually a strange yodeling noise--no barking or howling from those dogs.

There is a breed of dog called the Basenji that doesn't bark or howl, it just makes whining noises.

Probably not, I've heard of a chihuahua that had his vocal cords cut out by surgury so he COULDN'T bark at all. I guess some dogs can howl and some cannot.

Yes, its the wold inside of them. Make a high pitch noise yourself or howl and watch and listen as your dog will imatate you.

i dont think so i know that some dogs cant bark so maybe some dogs cant howl

No mine can't. He's a cute little lap dog. I think dogs more closely related to wolves can, eg huskies.
