Ask somebody to help you. With one of my dogs, I take her into a standing shower with glass doors that close, and hold her by the scruff of her neck until I'm done. Just make sure that you assert yourself as the boss and leader of the pack the whole time by speaking with a very commanding tone. Don't let her push you around, or it'll be like that all the time!

Yea, keep a choke chain or coller on her and hold on to hr that way and get her all soapy and then shower her. Or fill the bath tub with water and make her lay down in the water to get wet then do the same when shes got soap on her. Also get help like Linsdy (sorry bout mispelling) said and close glass doors if you have them. I got a miniture cockapoo and shes strong though shes only 20 pounds. And I'm not even 13.

I have a full sized Aussie. He's not bad about being bathed. I usually bathe the dogs outside with the garden hose when the weather is good.
I have another dog who hates a bath. I've used a nylon choker style leash to control her in the bathtub. Also, I have put on a swim suit and gotten in with her because that's actually easier on my back.

I'd order a restraint like groomers use. It's a large, strong rubber suction cup with a metal eye on the end. Get a double-headed leash attachment, it looks like the end of a leash, but with no fabric, and clips on both ends.
Get a good choke chain, one of the chain link ones preferably, then hook it to the clip, then to the suction cup.
Just make sure she can't get more than her front paws on the front edge of the tub, to prevent her slipping and possibly strangling herself somehow.
I used a setup like this at the clinic I washed dogs (and cats) for, and it worked wonders! I'd reccomend that.

The best way I have found is to leave a buckle collar on your pooch, attach a leash to the soap dish (which is normally on the opposite side of the tub from the rim), and attach said pooch to the leash.
This way, you can free your other hand to wash her, and feel confident that she isn't choking herself trying to get out.
The length depends on you as well. I keep my cats and dog on a shorter leash so that they can lean to the middle of the tub, but can't reach over and grab the edge.
Hope it helps!

I have a rottweiler and he growls at me when I bathe him. He also tries to jump out of the tub once in a while. I do yell at him for trying, but I also pet him and talk to him the whole time I'm washing him and try to make it enjoyable for him, when I lather him I talk nice to him and lather him like I'm petting him. Make sure the water is warm, and maybe even try having treats with you so that when she's behaving you can give her a treat now and then.

I use a plastic tub inside the bath tub and hold on tightly while sitting on the edge of the bath tub. I also talk soothingly to my dog while bathing her.

We take our dogs to a "do it yourself" dog wash... it's like a regular groom shop, but you do all the work yourself. They have suction cups on the bath tub walls with small leads that you attach to the dogs collar. That way they can't jump out!~

I have a Rat-Terrier,that I bath and I .have trouble with him also.He also doesn't like to take a bath. So,I found a better way to give him a bath.I will start running the water and tell him he is going to take a bath. Then,I will put him in and use the hose I brought to hook up to the shower, hose him.Of coarse he shacks off.I,then, will do it again, then shampoo. While I am shampooing him down I talk to him and that seems to calm him down. So,I talk to him all the through until I am finish.I will wrap him up in his towel and I hold him, until I think he is ready for me to put him down.

I have to get into the tub with my dog and shut the shower curtain. i talk to him nonstop in a happy 'good doggy' voice while i bathe him. he tolerates it just long enough for me to suds him up and rinse him off under the shower. i always give him a Frosty Paw treat when we're done.
