Please use your own words and tell us about your God.

What does he look like, where does he live, and what does he do with his time?

As an example:

I am 6' tall, weigh 220 lbs, gray hair, dark eyes, and am of European-Native American heritage.

I live in a cardboad box under a bridge in a rural area of Texas, near Dallas.

I spend most of my time developing computer animations when not wasting time on Yahoo answers, or, engaged in the essentials that my body demands (eating, drinking, sleepiing, bathing, etc.).

Using that general guideline, tell me everything you know about God, and please do not use other people's words or bible passages.

Thanks.

Clarification:

I'm asking for his description, not his emotions. Those who know he exists must have some vague idea what he looks like, where he lives and what he does with his time.

Although I appreciate the answer, claiming he is "love" is not answering the question.

Please do not quote other people or books, including the Koran. If you know he exists, tell me in your own words.

My God is a woman. She looks a lot like the typical grandmother, salt and pepper hair tied up in a bun on the top of her head with no shoes and a moomoo type dress on. She's in her late 60's to early 70's and is a little heavy set. She has big arms to cradle me in and a nice, soft, pillowie chest to rest against. She can cook like nobody can and she can take care of the world from her recliner. She listens to every word I have to say and then she nudges me in the right direction. She is soft and quiet till you cross her, then you better run. She's from the South and spends most of her time raising families, playing ref, and creating things.

I hope this helps you.

Knowing who my God is...At times, he is this unknown thing that I don't understand, that I can't see or feel. My belief in him is something I have always had, but never really had. I grew up in a Baptist Church, and it was a given, there was a God, and I knew every bible story by heart. I knew all about God and his Word, but no real evidence or relationship to back up my belief. Slowly, over the years, I have come to know a God, a Father, and a Friend that is more real to me than my son, sitting just a few feet away, playing X-Box. He comforts me, lauphs at and with me, constantly corrects me, reminds me, wakes me up. I have lived through many a dark night, and very literally felt his presence and love guiding me through.

God described himself in The Holy Quran:
"Say: He is Allah, the One and Only! Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him."

Also--
"Allah! There is no god but He - the Living, The Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him Nor Sleep. His are all things In the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede In His presence except As he permitteth? He knoweth What (appeareth to His creatures As) Before or After or Behind them. Nor shall they compass Aught of his knowledge Except as He willeth. His throne doth extend Over the heavens And on earth, and He feeleth No fatigue in guarding And preserving them, For He is the Most High. The Supreme (in glory)."
[Surah al-Baqarah 2: 255]

I don't know more than what God himself described him.
In summary what I know about God is directly as God himself described himself. He is All-Powerful. The creator, sustainer
and destroyer of everything. there is none like him so I can't compare him with anything in the heaven above and the earth
below. He is infinite and not restricted in time or space. So, where he lives and how he came--these questions are baseless. He is the cause of every cause. He don't need food or rest. Morality, justice everything is defined by him--they pleases us or not. He knows and sees everything. Nothing happens without his will(good or bad). He is not accountable to anybody but everybody is accountable to him.

My god is:

- 24 feet tall
- 3000 pounds
- Pinkish-brown hair
- Skin color changes to a different random color on the hour
- Lives at the back of a Walmart
- Loves Seinfeld
- Spends most of it's time granting my wishes (I get free cars, money, houses, food, I never get sick, etc.)
- Hangs out with the Hulk on freetime
- Never needs to bathe, eat, drink, sleep, or breathe - just does it for fun

i know god exists and sorry to burst your bubble but god cannot be easily described. god is all and everywhere and god is in fact love, which of course cannot be easily described either, so i guess this answer will not satisfy you.

however if you really want to know what god looks like i might suggest that you ask him~ he will answer you in due time, though perhaps not in the manner you might expect.

and as far as where he lives? everywhere.
as for what he does with his time, i think my brain is not capable of understanding that anymore than an ant can understand quantum physics.

What does God look like,

No human has ever seen the face of God and lived to tell about it as far as I know.

Where does God live?,

I believe He dwells on His thone in Heaven.

What does God do with His time?,

God isn't governed by time like you and I are. He is eternal and has always existed.

God is beautiful, amazing and unimaginable! We are made in His image so, I believe he has our physical features like, head, hair, hands, feet, eyes..ect..He also has a voice, thunderous and mighty....He speaks, sings, and commands his angels. He has the most brilliant mind...our minds can't fathom! He lives in eternity...Pleased by all of His creations, I know he made the Heavens and Earth, the sky, ocean, sun, moon, they were made by his hands, and so was I, he knitted me together in my mothers womb, with His own hands, delicate and powerful at the same time. WOW! He's awesome! Since He lives in Eternity and is in everything and everywhere, nothing is keeped from his sight not even hell. I just imagine Him on His throne with all His Heavenly beings and creatures, Praising Him, Worshiping Him, Dancing with Him...I just imagine them in Pure Joy in Heaven right now...and one day...I'll be with Him. Hallelujah! Praise be to the Lord Jesus Christ, my Savior, my Lord my Everything I need Him to be and More!

I am of the Christian Faith. I can only testify to the Truth of my own Salvation. By That Truth God is Love.

That will not satisfy you but that is God in His most pure form.

There are many words used to describe His Atributes but you forbid their use.

But... Love says it all

Ever see a picture of Jesus?? That was God's human form... in other words that is what he looked like. Obviously no one person can describe His looks only his love for all man-kind, even for sad people like you.

God is the most powerful, immortal, and merciful being. he isn't human and there are no words imaginable that describe his appearance. all the things you mention are human characteristics, while God has Godlike characteristics about his appearance, what He does with His time, and where he is. that is the most i could do at answering you.
