Most people say Ali #1, Louis #2.
Or...Louis #1, Ali #2.

After that it becomes subjective and blurred so who is your #3…and your #1 and #2?

Is #3 Dempsey, Marciano, Jack Johnson, Liston, Tunney, Foreman…other?

1. Muhammad Ali- It was amazing that a man of his physical size can move with such swiftness and agility.

2. Joe Louis- The Brown Bomber was a deadly technician in the ring.

3. George Foreman- In his early career Big George Foreman was a fighter that had the heavyweight division in fear, with an aura of invinciblity comparable to Tysons and Listons big George would have adversaries shaking in thier boots at the mention of his name.

4. Rocky Marciano - The Rock was known for his amazing stamina in the ring like the energizer bunny you can keep beating him down but he just kept on coming.

5. Larry Holmes- The Easton Assassin was known for his lightning jab that was strong enough to knock you down.

6. Joe Frazier- one word to describe him- relentless .

7. Lennox Lewis- During his title reign the British lion fought and defeated all the top heavyweights of his day including Holyfield and Tyson.

8.Evander Holyfield - Evander The Real Deal Holyfield is a man with incredible heart.

9. Mike Tyson- Iron Mike Tyson's place in history is bittersweet to me because I feel had he stayed with trainer Kevin Rooney, Mike Tyson had the POTENTIAL to become the greatest Heavyweight Champ of all time.

10. Jack Dempsey- the Monnassa Mauler- was a devestating force to be reckoned with back in his day.

Toughguys list is pretty good. They arent all int the right order but the top 10 is dead on. I think ( even proven by his lack of mention) Evander Holyfield is perhaps one of the most underrated heavywieghts of all time. He was a very skilled heavywieght. He boxed like a lightwieght. Tyson was a homerun hitter and once shown how to beat him it became common place for him to lose to a well trained fighter. So he should not be in top 5 forsure. Jack Johnson also wont get alot love but should as well has he was fighting more then the man in the ring.

I got Marciano holding the #3 spot cause he is the only Heavyweight champ to go 49-0. That is an amazing accomplishment considering all those brutal wars he fought in.

Tyson.

If it weren't for his insanity and "off the field" antics, he would have been the best ever. The only thing keeping him from being the best of all time was himself. No one is more impressive to watch. And you've got to love those first round knockouts.

Again, Tyson in his prime was awesome. At his best, I'd back him against any of the rest. Shame his personal life cut his career short.
