Good for you. Welcome to America. Try asking your local librarian. They will help you go in the right direction.

The best you can do is find a job where you will meet many English speaking people where you will have the need to speak in English. Another good idea is having as many English speaking friends as possible and sharing with them activities that you enjoy. You'll soon be speaking more than you expect.

I dont know where you live but I lived in Miami and now I live in Texas, there's places where they offer FREE english (ESL) classes to adults who's first language is not english. Check your local colleges or university.

I also found this site. Says it's free as well, you can learn and practice.

You can also practice by speaking to everyone in english, you'll find you'll get better the more and the longer you speak english.

Most cities have classes in the evening where you can learn English. The classes are called "English as a Second Language", or ESL.

Follow the link below for help.

Good luck!

If you cannot take a class on English as a second language, find a good American friend and talk a lot. That's the best way!

It seems that you know English pretty well already. When you go to work and are around other people more, you will pick up a lot more. Just be cautious of learning bad slang and bad grammar.

Good luck.
