God can be any color and any sex. We tend to think of God as a man because men were dominate in society when it first started, that's all. God is whatever God wants to be, and any color that God wants to be.

As for color, God has not been described as a color. Before man tried to build a temple to reach into heaven, all men were the same. What I'm talking about is in Genesis 11. You can read about it for yourself how that it was then that God confused mens tongues that they couldn't understand each other. It is believed that he changed their appearances also. So, could it be that God is all nationalities at the same time and that this is one of the ways that man is separated from HIM. And God is a male. When HE created man in Genesis 1, it was in HIS image. He later made WOMAN from man, and he called her Eve(not meaning to be a shovenest). Besides, everywhere God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit is mentioned in the Bible, they are followed with the word "He", not "She"

Why do we think God has to "be" anything? Or fit into the categories that humans divide themselves into? God doesn't reproduce the way that we do, so gender is not an issue. God doesn't live solely on Earth, so more or less skin pigment isn't a factor, and God created ALL races, so why would we expect a favorite to be chosen?

First of all God wasn't a woman, secondly NO God WASN'T black. All Christians believe that God is and was a masculane spiritual being. If you were a christian you would belive that your self. Read the Bible.

If it makes it work for you then absolutely.Given the rough cuts of history though I'd be inclined to think that your image of the One could comfortably rest in the vengeful, wrathful; and jealous version of God made famous by the good Old Testament. Thank you for sharing your interesting conclusion.

I think you mean Jesus, not God. And yes, Jesus was a Jew, so he should be much darker than artists portray him, but he is a HE. Genesis says man was made in God's own image, so God must be like a man.

If you are a christian the Bible says in Jn 4:24 " God is a spirit: ( so He is neither black nor white) and they that worship HIM ( if God calls Himself a male who are we to say other wise) must worship Him in spirit and in truth.
