A family can be large or small. It can be immediate family members or extended family members. It is people born of a blood line that extends outward through marriages. You don't have to be in the blood line to be a part of a family. Generally, a family has mother, father, children, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins from both sides. However, you can be a family with the mother and children; the father and children; a husband and wife; foster care parents and children; or even say, five cousins living together in a big house. A family consists of adults and children who care about each other. A family shares finances, possessions, space, food, caring, friendship, love, trauma, hard times and good times. Everyone in my family has a job except the minors. The types of jobs we have vary. We all protect the babies and minor children. We are there for each other when something is right or wrong in the family. However, we all support our individual households without imposing on the others, but we always know who we can count on.

A family is a group of people genetically linked who we are forced to share space with until we are old enough to decide if we even LIKE these individuals. A family could look like many things and does not have to be traditional (mom, dad, kids). I have 3 brothers, 2 sisters and I have not spoken with either my parents or 2 of my brothers for over 5 years. I don't miss them at all.

my family is : my husband who is disabled. I work. I have 2 boys at home who consider my husband their father. They see their biological father sometimes once a year and talk to him on the phone but consider my second husband the dad that helped raise them. I have 3 step sons that have lived with us for 2 years and plan to go back to their mother next year. They are also part of our family. A family doesnt have to be blood just to love each other and want the best for each other

A family is any group of people that care about each other and help each other out on a regular basis.
A family shouldn't look like one thing in particular.
My family consists of me, my husband, my neice and nephew I'm raising and my two sons.
My husband works, I stay home and care for the 4 kids, and take care of errands, house, etc. The kids all have daily chores too.

A family can be considered any group of people that live together, care about each other, look out for one another and have each other's best interests in mind. Who says you have to be related to be considered a family?

a family can be different things to different people.
i have an extended family of adopted friends. you cant choose your family but you can choose your friends.
my mother was not around when i was growing up so my grandmother was my mother. she did the housework and cooked and made sure that i had what i needed.
my father became my father after i grew up. he didnt have the opportunity when i was smaller.
now im a mom and i understand a lot of what my actual mother went through. she was the financer when i needed things.

Technically it's a group of individuals related by blood or marriage but in this day and age it's a whole different ball of wax.
1. My daughter and myself.
2. I work, my daughter is just going into Grade 7.
