It is important you know what is going on in the schools and how your child is learning and if they are smarter than the education they are getting. Being involved has teachers treating your child better. Keep informed on all that is going on and volunteer to help. That way you have the inside track if something is not going correctly.

Absolutely!! And don't be afraid to be involved even if you have no idea what the schoolwork is. It is important to be there. And boys in particular need their father to be involved, even it is just to tell them to do their work. I was always welcomed at my child's school until middle school. Then it is harder to volunteer and monitor programs unless it is socially oriented, such as dances and prom. I wish they would invite or ask us to help and volunteer. I know a lot of parents don't want to or cannot give up the work time without jeopardy, but some of us do want to be involved more. Yes, involvement changes. Not as much help and guidance, but the structure is there from the beginning, so the support is still there and still strong. Actual school time and homework/report help will decrease, no doubt.

Absolutely! I think the childs success greatly depends on the parental involvment. I communicate with the teachers regularly and find out their assignments, ask, them if they need help, and If I don't know the answer, find someone that does. My childs school keeps me informed and I also take an active role in assisting my child when neccessary.

My son is now 27. I was always involved with my son's teachers, classes, PTA, sports, everything. That is the best way to be sure he is getting good positive attention from the teachers, etc. And it really sends the message to your child how much you love them and care for them, that you have the time to do that.

To be truthful, i think of faculty is a manner for some mum and dad to get rid of their young toddlers for 8 hours an afternoon. this is an exceedingly less costly variety of daycare. mum and dad do no longer desire to be in contact via fact they do no longer desire to make the attempt out of their schedule to do it. no longer in basic terms that, yet i think of a few mum and dad could like the colleges to advance their toddlers. so some distance as instructor's participation, they're swamped as that's. Many instructors already do lots of their college artwork exterior of school hours and that they do no longer make almost adequate money for the form of household initiatives that they've. to ask them to alter into greater in contact in PTA's is calling them to accomplish that lots greater artwork than they already do without greater repayment.
