Wal*Mart® is not the place to be making your socio-racial observations. Go to Wal*Mart® to buy your feminine hygiene products and Dixie flags and stickers, Wal*Mart® is also very fine for other things but these items came to ind first. Leave the people alone and just make sure that YOU look happy and don't be worried about the others. Did you ever think that perhaps Wal*Mart® had sold out on hemorrhoid medication... that would make a grandparent look unhappy?

I do not find this to be true. There is a white man at my church who has a biracial grand daughter and he looks like a proud grandpa. As a matter of fact when she gets too loud he takes her into the area where all us moms are and plays with her and does a great job.
I also know an elderly couple who's daughter had a biracial son and then left him with them and they act like the world revolves around that little boy.
Maybe the people you are seeing just are not happy with their WalMart experience.

My Kids are biracial but don't look it! I'm white, my husband's half Mexican, but both my boys are blond. The 3 year old has got a nice, dark tan!

My parents are Always happy about their grandsons, I don't think that is has anything to do with the way they look, my mother in law, however, is extatic that her grandkids don't look Mexican!! So where is the racism coming from there?!!

"Why are biracial human beings raised via their white grandparents?" some are, others are no longer. basically like some White all and sundry is raised via their grandparents, and others are not, some Black all and sundry is raised via their grandparents and others are not, and a similar is going for one greater ethnic team. i'm "biracial" (lightskinned Black mom, White Dad) and that i replaced into raised via my mum and dad. My white grandparents died years till now i replaced into even born. I had greater touch with my mom's Black relatives than my Father's White relatives. you need to no longer generalize human beings of blended background, in my opinion. There are myriad and distinctive relatives backgrounds they arrive from basically like another form of human beings.

They might be ashamed or embarrased because of the social stigma that it carries.

My daughter is bi racial Half white /Half Native American, has dark hair and eyes, skin- and I see people looking at me funny, ( I am white as a ghost and have blue eyes.)

I am not embarrassed though. But it is understandable why they might be embarrassed- we should understand that their generation stigmatized this very same thing...and fortunately times are changing and society is becoming more and more accepting.

Becasue they probably are, most grandparents these days are still from the old school way of thinking...where being in an inter racial relationship is frowned upon adn children born to them have to face a horrible life..
of course these days it is widely acceped....

My mom always looks happy with my biracial kids as long as they aren't asking for everything in site or acting out!

Not all white grandparents are like that, but the ones that are grew up in a time when interracial relationships were not common and maybe they still do not accept it.

Why do you think they look unhappy? Is it because they are not walking with huge kool-aid smiles on their faces? First of all, maybe they just LOOK that way. Have you ever shopped with children? Maybe they were stressed.

Stpo trying to put down a race.
