LOL. Deal with it. You cant ban kids it doesnt work that way! In a way I understand your frustration but then again it also sounds liek you can be very anti-society....kids are a part of life. If you want a quiet dinner stay home or go to a really really upscale restaurant and when you make the reservations ask that you be seated in a secluded area.

Well if your in a family restuarant like Applebee's, Chillis, Olive garden places like that are far from upscale and cater more to families. So you have to expect that a little there. But nicer resturants do not allow kids. My hubby has worked in lots of 5-star resturants and they simply do not allow kids under 13 or so I think. There are lots of places like that here in Vegas on the strip but you are talking upscale these are $300 ++ for two to eat type places.
While I have two kids that 95% of the time well mannered there have been a few times they have acted up in a resturant. Yes I will take them outside and talk to them or if it calls smack their bottom. You have to know that most parents are really embarresed to.
But the ones that just laugh as their kid stares at your or runs up and down the aisle...I agree they are idiot parents & you can get a little satsifcation in knowing this is how they are in public...they are 10x worse at home!

Yes I hate when that happens. My 8 yr old has always behaved well or gotten into trouble up to and including a whipping if necessary. Parents now a days just don't make their kids mind. I also hate it when kids do not show any kind of respect for their elders. I don't think restaurants can legally ban kids can they?

I dislike young or older people getting kissy kissy while I'm trying to eat, especially in a fine dining establishment. Also, the waiters should trim their nose hairs. Many times I've been sitting next to elderly people and they remove their dentures and place them in a dish of water, that sucks. Also not so appetizing is when the baby's diaper is being changed on the table, pew, smelly!!!

I know what you mean. I have two kids and they are behaved in a restaraunt. I never ever let them get out of their chair and wander around the table. Some people just don't teach their kids any manners at all.

Oh my gosh I hate that! It can almost ruin a meal. I try to move to a table as far away from them as possible and if that doesn't help I would complain to a waiter or manager.
